No holds barred look at flaws in the Faith movement

Christianity in Crisis by Hank Hanegraaff is a powerful indictment of the Faith or Name it and Claim it movement within Christianity. Sometimes Christians are afraid to point out the flaws in famous pastors' theology for fear of creating discord within the faith and causing nonbelievers to question all Christians. Hanegraaff has no such fears, and his book is powerful and stunning because of his courage. I was newly shocked with every chapter. I had no idea that so many famous pastors preach such heresy, people I had respected, preach against substitionary atonement, as well as the idea that God has no power without us. The author is outraged by this kind of preaching, and the reader will be as well by the time he/she finishes the book. While it is a bit polemic, it's a fascinating read. It's definitely a book I will be talking about with friends and family for long after I've put it down.
