Knitting designer Deborah Newton presents a primer for designing knitted sweaters, including shaping, fitting, color and texture, dressmaking techniques, and suggestions for sources of inspiration. A large format softcover book, it is heavily and usefully illustrated with photos, diagrams, and sketches. It also contains sixteen finished patterns, suitable for knitting as is or altering or embellishing with original elements of your own. An excellent how-to resource and step by step guide for experienced knitters looking for ways to express their creative style.
