As anyone who has ever heard of or read Michael Moore's work knows he is quite controversial. This book was written after 9/11 and caused an uproar of criticism. Some may disagree with what he says and some might just be unsure. He does provoke strong emotions in readers. Most of the facts he presents are true, however, context is always something to question. I enjoyed this book. I thought it was an interesting read but I take his conclusions lightly.

The author covers many diverse topics in a book designed to retrace the losses in jobs, home affordability and the education system of the early 1950s and 1960s. The population in the U.S.A. grew to well over 280MM. In NYC, the population grew from 8MM to 10MM in the span of a few decades. Pros: Funny and has strong arguments     Cons: Moore ultimately knows too little about America's enemies, and leaves out too many arguments     The Bottom Line: I expected to give it three stars. While he occasionally exaggerates to make his points more humorous, Moore generally stays fairly close to the truth. Which is more than can be said about those whose favorite sport is to revile him. Moore shows a great deal of knowledge about what has been happening in the United States over the past several years, far more than I expected.
