After reading about Jerry in his own words, I find him likable and funny and not at all stuffy. His Christianity is heartfelt and real, and he lives it out without fear or hypocrisy.    As a Christian who agrees with Falwell theologically, I always kind of steered away from him, his church, and his college because of the media response toward him, his theology, and his Moral Majority foray in the 1980s, under the theory that smoke followed fire and Falwell might be the self-righteous …

Even though I gave this one just one star, I do recommend you read it. It is a real eye opener! After finishing it, for the life of me, I cannot distinguish this man from the religious leaders of present day Iran and the ex leaders of Afghanistan. There is no doubt in my mind, that if Falwell were in actual power, he would have most of us in "containment camps" for "reeducation." This books is actually a must read.
