Although I still do resort to fast food occasionally, this book really made me aware of the economic and health tolls that this "convenience" really takes. From an economic perspective, fast food has extremely negative implications for people around the world. From the people who work in the restaurants to the people who work under dangerous conditions at meat processing plants to the indigenous people of the Amazon who have seen their livelihoods taken away due to deforestation, it becomes clear …
