An enjoyable "Southern Gothic" horror novel in which a haunted house and nature are major players. Author Dansky makes creative use of the local firefly population as an indication of the spiritual health of the hereditary Logan property. Enjoyable reading even for a reader that is generally lukewarm about the horror genre.
