I picked this book up at the library on my quest to read 'tiny books'. I'm tired of 300-400 page books that could have been half the size. I was surprised that it isn't more well known. Firmin is a classic whose time is coming. A bit like Kafka's Metamorphosis for our current age. It is gritty and entertaining, sad and inspiring. Someday, I'm sure it will be on every literature reading list.
