An element of flash fiction is a short fiction story that is at most 750 words in length. Clearly, there can be only one point and it must be made quickly. No single word can be extraneous and all details must be essential. These constraints make flash fiction a difficult thing to write.    However, difficult is not impossible, as these stories demonstrate.
