Wonderful devotional for the thinking Christian

  • Feb 18, 2010
My brother has spent his life in the word of God; that is, someone who should've been a theologian, because he is devoted to examining the Bible in ways you don't normally find on the parishioner's side of the church pew.

He was a little leery when I handed him "Glorifying God," but a few days later he was in raptures. He was already familiar with Thomas Watson's works (the 17th century Puritan minister upon whose writings this book is based.) He said he had never read anything so thought-provoking, in English anyone could understand.

Since he's STILL reading it (well, it is a year-long devotional!), I'd take that as high praise, indeed.

Great gift for yourself, or the intellectual Christian in your circle.
