Supposedly this book was based on a real diary of one of the author's patients, but that remains unconfirmed. The story follows the diary of a nameless young girl and her journey experimenting with drugs. It only took me a day to read, since it's both short and very interesting. The diary format works well in that it really allows you to enter the world of the narrator in a way that is difficult to do in other formats.       I think every young teenager should read …

     I was given this book by my mother; an original copy that she had from the 70's. I'm more of a modern reader, so I was hesitant.  There is no other way to put it, except for that the book completely sucked me in. Go Ask Alice by Anonymous (AKA Beatrice Sparks) is a book that still bewilders me to this day. it's one of many of such books by Beatrice Sparks, but the most famous and popular. Others included themes of Satan worship and teen pregnancy, to name a few, as well as more different drug use.      Its message is not a bad one, but one gone about in all the wrong ways.    This was a very interesting book and everything was based on a true story. This book follows the life of a young girl through her teenage years and through all her obstacles and hardship. I read this book when i was a teenager in high school and a lot of the stuff written in the book i can relate to because of where i was in life at the time. That was one of the main reasons it was such a good read, and i am sure many others teenagers like me will find this book a great read as well …

I believe this book was based on propaganda. The author is unknown and then throughout the story, they make a good girl go bad. Personally, having done the drugs she does, the unknown author is writing it in order to keep teenagers from going down her path. Which is not a bad thing...

I liked the diary entry format of the book, but sometimes it just didn't hold my interest when it got closer to the end. It was definitely an interesting read though, following a young girl's journey through her teen years. If you enjoy reading diary format or are just looking for something new, yet a bit intense, to read then this book just might do the trick for you. While the book is rather short at 214 pages compared to the typical novel being over 300 pages long, it can feel like it …
