The best children's fiction books have three characteristics:    *) A silly story based on an absurdity that children can easily understand is an absurdity.  *) Understandable illustrations where the colors are understated, almost drab.   *) Text that is simple, it is even better if there are rhymes.      This book has all three; one characteristic that I particularly like is the coloration of the illustrations.
