Complex rating. 20 years ago it was the most profound thing I had ever read (so +5). The last time I looked at it it was among the biggest pieces of tripe I had read (so -4). Read it when you're young ... only.

Easily absorbed wisdom of the ages, told in an amusing, mentally stimulating tale of a reluctant, modern-day messiah... just like any of us. Be sure to make note of the sayings in "The Messiah's Handbook" that our narrator reads -- they're important, not only to the book, but to all who read it.
