Wiki

The first book in Meg's latest series, Insatiable, and has already been released on June 8th, 2010. This series is a modern retelling of Bram Stoker's Dracula. The main character is named Meena Harper. She is a writer on a television soap opera called Insatiable. She is being forced by management to write vampires into the plot of the show due to their popularity. Meena, however, hates vampires (and rightfully so) and thinks it's a stupid idea (especially after twilight and it's reckless fans who have not a clue about what lies in the real world). The book takes place in New York City.

I'll admit, I loved Meg Cabot when I was in middle/high school, so I was predisposed to her adult novels. And I was delighted to find that not only is she an excellent young adult author, but she is versatile enough to write entertaining fiction for adults without carrying through the drama and adolescent writing of her young adult novels (which just goes to show that she truly writes for her audience, not her abilities!).      Insatiable entertained me right from the beginning …
