Good for what it does.

"Pocket Guide" is the operative term for describing this volume. It's light and contains clear maps, especially helpful for the walker. It provides an overview of the highlights of Florence, which of course are numerous, with nice photos. The text, however, is limited in detail and somewhat superficial. If you simply want to see the sites/sights, this is an easy-to-carry guide that will get you where you want to go. If you are more interested in delving deeper, a larger, more comprehensive guide should be obtained as a supplement.
