Impressive look at perspective. Ellison writes a book that many pick up and think is going to resemble Stevenson's book. Really the invisibility of a black man in modern (1940's and 50's) society.

Invisible Man

Man, I had to read this book as a senior in high school and I'm so happy. While most kids were upset that they had to read another book about a black man's plight, i was moderately excited because in high school we are instructed to read shakespeare, etc. european, WASP type books and theres hardly any other cultural literature.
