I used to walk with my dog. I really miss her. But Clella Camp's musing's on her daily walk resounded with memories for me, hitting just the right blend between earthly interactions and heavenly intervention. With wise advice on health and safety, short scripture references and simple prayers, each walk with Clella left me feeling uplifted and inspired. I watched the arrival of her granddaughter Anneka, observed the mother robin preparing her nest, and felt the touch of spring even though I was reading the pages in fall. As my walking companion begged forgiveness for her own failings, I found myself thinking of mine, begging God's forgiveness too, and found myself strengthened to keep trying, to keep being forgiven. And when Clella arrived to walk in the city, I missed the countryside but saw the streets and roadsigns through new eyes, newly reminded to always look and pray.

Just Walking is a book of daily devotions with a pleasing personal touch, and by the end of reading Clella Camp has become a much-loved friend and walking companion.
