Entertaining Psychological Thriller

The serial killer genre seems to have been saturated to the point of overflowing with all imaginable twists and turns of the plot, but fortunately "Killer" is a proof that there are still possibilities for imaginative plot development out there. This book is a surprisingly well-crafted thriller. It has an interesting new take on the genre, which makes it almost self-reflective. The characters are well crafted and believable, and the writing is of pretty high quality. In fact, it is much better than many similar thrillers. I was glued to this book and couldn't put it down. A few plot devices seem a bit far-fetched, but if you are willing to suspend belief enough they too seem to fit within the story quite nicely. If you are looking for an interesting and entertaining mystery-thriller type of book, then "Killer" will certainly deliver on its premises.
