Kouta Hirano is not a newcomer to the manga world. His art is well known, and well recognized, and his stories are easily recognized as well.      Volume one of Hellsing is a great introduction to the rest of the series. It sets up the type of humor Hirano is known for, and his type of story telling. This is a great story. It tells the story of vampire Alucard and the obstacles he overcomes as he and his master Integra Helsing fights against enemies of England.

Gory and exciting, the Hellsing manga is a great read for anyone familiar with the series. I personally prefer the anime, but the art shines in this.
