In this dark novel, a drug trial that seemed to have failed ten years ago generates new interest.
Even though one person died and the other participants have had their lives changed, a pharmaceutical company and an ambitious U.S. senator have become interested.
The story is complicated and packed with characters who make appearance with no explanation of who they are.
Since paranoia and fear are at the base of Dr. Sebastian Briggs's experiment, it is no wonder that a number of the characters have aliases which adds to the story's complexity.
Certainly original in nature and the complicated action did straighten out in the second half of the book but I would say an overly difficult book to read.
2 1/2 start, moving up to three stars for originality.
