We all know the score. Pay yourself first then live off the rest. If you save a little money each month, then you'll have a little rainy day fund. It may sound easy but it just never seems to work in practice.

Money Games makes the process much simpler. The book provides 85 different suggestions in the form of little games and exercises. The idea is that saving money becomes a bit of a game. Go to a matinee or rent a movie rather than going to the theatre, put the money you save aside. Mail yourself an invoice to pay to your savings account each month.

I liked that the author provided practical exercises, little things that I can actually do without taking too much extra time out of my day. Plus, with most of them, I can actually see the results right away. This might just keep me motivated.
