I have not read any of Trudi Canavan's Black Magician Trilogy (The Magicians' Guild, The Novice, The High Lord), although I have thought about it for a while. It is obvious that this edition to the world introduced in the original trilogy was written after and I can only guess at what is to be the beginning of the trilogy.      This is a wonderful book for people just getting into the fantasy genre.
