This book is a compilation of stories from 90 women sharing their first-period stories.  It is a book that unifies women from every culture and religion, every country and race. Experiences differ, though they are the same. I wish I had this book when I had my first period. I'm glad I have this book, for the daughter I might eventually have. The book aims to keep the conversation about periods going--a topic that, to this day, is deemed a taboo for the silliest of reasons. Menstruation is a powerful symbol of what women are capable of. This is an excellent book for women all over the world. I highly recommend it.
