   Neverdark by C.S. Enfield is fun! A modern-day fairytale, set in a wonderful old Oak tree in a failing forest, it combines today’s issues with yesterday’s fluid wonder. The story begs to be read aloud—the comforting cadences of childhood, the accents of Mexican crow and Scottish squirrel, the gently narrated comments like a parent telling a bedtime story.
