The where, when, why, how and maybes of Noah's Flood

Did you know there's a current at the bottom of the Black Sea that flows in the "wrong" direction--away from the Med instead of towards it? Did you know there's evidence of a catastrophic flood below the Black Sea? Ryan and Pitman's book tells how science can investigate a story as strange and mythological-sounding as Noah's ark and come up with something that sounds very plausible and real.

The authors pursued real science in this investigation, sailing on dangerous seas through stormy weather and political waters. They're not out to convince you the Bible's true; just that the flood story might be based on truth, and that the Black Sea might be where it all happened.

I certainly found this investigation fascinating. I'd struggle to believe the flood didn't happen after reading this. But don't expect the dates to fit with any young-earth theories. This is real science and really ancient history (even ancient global warming, if that's not heresy).
