I love the Not Your Mother's Slow Cooker Cookbook. When I saw that NOT YOUR MOTHER'S MICROWAVE COOKBOOK was available, I thought I'd give it a try. Finally, a cookbook that really seems fit and easy enough for everyone to follow. When I came across this book, the whole premise of having recipes and dishes you could fix and prepare in the microwave was really appealing. Especially in the summer when cooking on a big stove can heat up your entire kitchen and living space, this book came in handy. I use my microwave a lot but not the way this book want me to. I have to admit this book provides a good introduction to Microwave cooking techniques and it gives several useful tips on selecting and buying Microwave Cookware. The pictures of mouthwatering food look elsewhere. This book is very utilitarian in style.     Futhermore, the illustrations are meant mostly as technical aids and add little to the aesthetic of the book.
