"Persuader" is the third Jack Reacher novel I've read by Lee Child. After reading "One Shot" and "The Hard Way," I went backwards a bit and read this earlier book. I really liked the bad guys in this novel, especially the behemoth Paulie. You knew his demise would come, and I liked how Child did it. Heading to the beach? In need of some excellent entertainment? Persuader, by Lee Child, is just the ticket. While this isn't a recent Jack Reacher novel, it is one of Lee Child's best.      Child starts the novel with ex-Army MP, Jack Reacher, thwarting the kidnapping of 20-year old Richard Beck, son of powerful and affluent businessman Zachary Beck. Persuader is in true Reacher form, from the first wild seconds of deadly gunplay and an aborted kidnapping to a race to avoid pursuing the cops.    As an ex-military intelligence officer, Reacher knows everything there is to know about survival, handling sophisticated weapons and generally outsmarting his opponents. In Persuader, he uses all of his considerable resources to get out …

In his seventh Jack Reacher novel, Reacher once again finds himself in the wrong place at the wrong time to stay out of trouble. At night in Boston, he spots a man that he knows shouldn't be walking around alive get into a car and drive off. Back when Reacher was a military cop running investigations Francis Xavier Quinn was as dirty as they came and had allegedly died. Apparently he is alive, driving off before Reacher can stop him and all he has is the plate to work with to find him again.Reacher …
