Let me preface this by saying that Jane Austen is my favorite author, ever. Persuasion in my opinion was not her best work, and we all know that Pride and Prejudice is considered her best, but this was not even close the top in my head. The story picks up eight years later when circumstances have changed and the now Captain Wentworth has returned to the area with a successful career and Anne's family is now reduced in financial status. Anne wonders if perhaps Frederick might still harbor feelings …
