CLASSIC GRAFTON!

Classic Grafton at her best! After following Milhone through well over half the alphabet, I'm surprised that this author can keep the suspense level as high as she does ... time after time after time. All I can say is WOW! Great job! Betty Dravis ( jmbpub.com/betty.htm ) is the author of the young adult novel, THE TOONIES INVADE SILICON VALLEY that hit the stands in April 2005. Better than the recent several: "R is for Ricochet"

The job seems simple enough in the beginning. Kinsey Malone is to go to the California Institute for Women and pick up Reba Lafferty. Convicted of embezzlement, the daughter of wealthy Nord Lafferty is to be released early from prison on parole. Kinsey is to bring her back home, make sure she is settled in her father's house as she resumes her life, and complying with her parole instructions. Nice rebound from her last work...

I finally made it through the hold list at the library for Sue Grafton's latest - R is for Ricochet. This is a nice rebound from the disappointment of her last novel. Kinsey Millhone is hired for what appears to be a babysitting job: pick up a woman being released from a California prison and make sure she gets settled in and adjusted. But of course, nothing is ever quite that simple. The lady, Reba Lafferty, did 22 months for embezzlement from the company she worked for. … more
