I was pleasantly surprised with the Read & Share: Story of Easter. The authors are content to share the Biblical Story. Each page refers parents to where in the Bible the story comes from. It is obvious that the authors of the Read and share series care about the intent and content of the biblical story. They do a good job of quickly on one or two pages of telling the Biblical story in the Biblical context.

The DVD that comes with the Read & Share Easter Story uses the artwork of the book and a narrator reading the story to give children an alternative method of learning the story. The addition of the bonus DVD is very appreciated. It is not a high quality production, but my daughter didn't care; she has watched it a number of times. After watching the DVD, she interacted more as we read the story. The bonus DVD went beyond just the easter story of the book, but went on to show the story of the early church from the first half of Acts.

I am now interested in getting more of the Read and Share series. Very good Biblical easter resource for children.
