I ride the bus nearly every day. When I saw this book I thought it might end up being a very interesting tale. I was wrong.      One of the things that first caught my attemtion was the fact that the writer of this true story hits her 40th birthday and is just now trying to get to know anything about her mentally challenged sister.. and even now she's doing it very reluctantly. How could you care so little about someone you grew up with? The story has some touching parts …

   I am so happy to have picked up Rachel Simon’s Riding the Bus with my Sister as I browsed through a bookstore, wanting to take something home but not knowing what. I rarely buy a book this way. I love to spend money on a book but only when it comes recommended by someone I know or I’ve read a glowing review about it.
