While waiting at the ice arena last night for Ian to finish his shift (it was snowing and I didn't want him driving), I finished Sphinx by Robin Cook. This is one of his older books (1979) and is the first one of his I've read that wasn't a medical thriller. I got the recommendation from Ben Poole, and it was a good one. The story involves an Egyptologist named Erica Barton who travels to Egypt to do some translation work and to satisfy a dream to go there. She quickly gets emeshed in two murders …
