Why America needs to declare a temporary moratorium on immigration.

For nearly two decades now Pat Buchanan has been pleading with America to stop the madness! In a number of successful books and in his television work on CNN and MSNBC Pat Buchanan has been warning of the dire consequences of this nations failed immigration policies. He felt so strongly about these issues that he actually campaigned for the Republican Presidental nomination in both 1992 and again in 2000. Over the years, while more and more average Americans have come to see the wisdom in his arguments our elite cultural and political leaders have continued to take us down a path to almost certain disaster. "State of Emergency: The Third World Invasion and Conquest of America" is one last attempt to convince the country to reverse these ill-advised policies before it really is too late. For in Mr. Buchanan's view failure to do so is almost certain suicide and by the year 2050 America as we know it will no longer exist.

Most liberals label Pat Buchanan as a neanderthal and a racist. Democrats openly approve of illegal immigration because they believe that if these folks are eventually granted citizenship in all likelihood they will become life-long Democrats. On the other hand, many Republicans look the other way because illegal immigrants represent an excellent source of cheap labor. And as Mr. Buchanan points out, President Bush and his cohorts were loathe to take any action against the illegals, particularly those of Hispanic origin, because they somehow had the idea that they could win them over to the Republican side. Not very likely. In any event, all of these reasons are quite selfish and fly in the face of the interests and well-being of the average American citizen. Many people complain about the additional burdens being placed on American taxpayers. These are certainly very legitimate concerns but as Pat Buchanan points out there are other overriding issues here that must be dealt with and soon. Many of the people who "break in" to America are carrying diseases that we had virtually wiped out long ago. Many communities in border states like California, Texas and Arizona are reporting an alarming rise in cases of tuberculosis, malaria and even polio. The costs of dealing with these health issues are staggering and is putting a real strain on hospitals and health care facilities in the nation's Southwest. This is just one more consequence of the President and our friends in Congress failing to do their constitutional duty to protect our borders. And just as important, the sheer numbers of illegals entering this country each year is driving down the wages of the average American working man and woman. It turns out that Pat Buchanan was right on the money about NAFTA and GATT as well. He discusses in some detail the dangers of the phenomenon of the new breed of "mulitcultural businessman" who has no allegiance to any nation. "To this 'ecomonite' a true believer in economism, sovereignty, independence, industrial primacy, the values of community and country must be sacrificed should the gods of globalism so command."   Unfortunately it seems that there are a lot of subscribers to this creed among the people who are now running our country.

Time and space simply do not permit me to highlight all of the salient points made in "State of Emergency". Time really is running out on America if we fail to address these urgent matters. Certainly the Obama administration has no intention of pursuing policies that would effectively restrict illegal immigration. Rather we have learned that following the passage of Health Care Reform President Obama intends to tackle immigration reform a/k/a "amnesty" next.  And having been bouyed by their recent victory on health care I expect that Obama, Reid and Pelosi will use the same immoral and ruthless tactics to get their way on this issue as well. Process and the rule of law means nothing to these people! You can be sure that passage of this kind of legislation at this time would be yet another death knell for our nation.

Over the past decade a large segment of the American people have come to the conclusion that Pat Buchanan has been right all along.  Many are demanding that the United States declare a virtual moratorium on new immigration into this country for a limited period of time. For the most part Americans are not doing this to be mean. They simply want to save the country they love. These people understand economics and realize that the country is now bankrupt and that we need time to right the ship. As it is there are now probably more people in the wagon than pulling it. Such a scenario is certainly not sustainable. It is high time that our leaders listened to us. "State of Emergency: The Third World Invasion and Conquest of America" is a thoughtful and well-written book that will get you up to speed on these most important issues.   Highly recommended!
