I have been doing yoga for about a year now and I have found it absolutely fascinating to discover just how people actually "get into" the practice.

This is why I was so psyched about reading Stretch. I have to admit that the first few chapters of this book are kind of slow - which almost made me put the book down and read something else. However, something told me to continue and fortunately, the story picks up and the author actually had an interesting and, at times, inspiring story to tell.

It is obvious that Pollack was searching for something to fulfull him and this is the part of the book that I found the most compelling. His issues with food were also interesting and I found it fascinating to read this story- coming from a man. Somehow, for some reason, I never seem to remember that guys can have mid life crisis which ends up making them unhappy and seeking something more.

The author was not shy about his worries and detailed his life and his discovery of yoga (and ultimately his love of it) in an interesting and honest memoir that made me gain a better understanding of where he was coming from.

Well written, although the pace of the book could have been a little quicker as some details were not necessary.

Overall, however, this book was interesting and compelling.
