To write a book of this type one really has to have a wild and vivid imagination, and Jimmy B. certainly has both, as can be easily seen from his songs. This hilarious tale of a soccer goalie pig whose family hides him in a posh New York City hotel is really a hoot!
The story is told from several points of view, but the pig really has the best of it. The two children of the family devise various schemes to get the pig out of the hotel into the outdoors, and out of the prying eyes of a meat-loving chef. Some of these escapades are priceless, and I couldn't help laughing out loud many times.
The characters are, of course, cartoonish mostly, but that's the type of book that it is. There's the requisite happy ending, and a reunion for the pig and her long-lost brother. I loved the book and think that you will also.
