This book is terrible

I read The Awakening, by Kate Chopin for my Advanced Placement Literature class. I was intent on reading it for understanding, because I have a tendency to drift off when I am reading books that I don’t enjoy. I tried to do this by taking a lot of notes in the margins and highlighting important lines, but this book is far from entertaining. This is my biggest complaint of the book: it was extremely boring. All I can say is WOW! This book must have scared the daylights out of men when it came out. To offer such a candid and understandable glimpse into the innermost feelings of some women regarding the men in their lives is deliciously brutal! Talk about the cold, hard truth. I loved this book and will never look upon the opposite sex (women) the same again. You are all much more powerful and gracious then I ever imagined.
