Ina Garten has an amazing way of making even the most simple recipes (ex. hummus, roasted carrots) amazing. She provides very easy to follow step by step instructions for all of her recipes, and many even include pictures so that you can get a visual of how the recipe should actually turn out. I love Ina'a focus on simple entertaining, as well. Recipes like that for the Nicoise salad, provide simple and elegant ways to entertain that won't break your back.
