A Quick Tip by mauverneen

Excellent novel. Not being Jewish, I learned something about Jewish culture and that did not hinder my enjoyment of this book, and his others, notably 'My Name Is Asher Lev'.

Classic favorite

I can't remember how many times I've read this book but I love it every time. The characters are wonderful and engaging and have such lessons to teach. Potok makes it all seem so effortless. On this reading I was really struck by the friendship between Reuven and Danny and what forms it took, what it really meant to them.

Masterful

The Chosen is a book that will, not only produce a full, rich, exhilarating experience, but stays with you for quite some time.
