This book contains countless photo's by the famous, Nat Fein.
I grew up living very close to New York City so I was interested in reviewing this outstanding book by, David Nieves. I began to look at photo by photo without even reading the first word of print. Each photo held its own story, told in the eyes of the people or animals shown, or in the surroundings. Each one was simple, yet bursting with living and as I gazed upon them I was truly transported to that moment in time. It was great, but it didn't stop there. Going back I read the words that accompanied each photo, stories of Nat Fein's colorful life and how he became one of the best photographers of the time. He was a man who truly put thought and heart into each photo taken.
There are photos of famous people such as:
Eleanor Roosevelt and her dog, Fala, Jackie Kennedy and a breathtaking photo of Babe Ruth shortly before his death. A picture you will not soon forget. To me, however, the most memorable were those of the animals where Mr. Fein captured the very essence of their souls and emotions. I truly enjoyed this book, it was a walk in the past, a reminder of what once was and an honor to a man, Nat Fein, who gave a treasured gift with his photo's for the future. Very well done! Thank you Mr. Nieves for this work.
