Interesting thought but nothing new and profound. Just a counselor in book form

it's very interesting

The gospel is not a secret, and not a get rich quick scheme. The secret has mislead many people, and sadly will continue to do so if people are not warned.

Who believes this crap?

The Secret is not for everyone. I get that. All I know is that adding the principles of attraction to my life, changed my life in a big way.

This is one seriously shameful book that preys on the weakest and most vulnerable people in an attempt to create customers for its related merchandise in perpetuity. The basic principle is that if you have a positive outlook, good things will happen to you. While I don't disagree with this per se, I do disagree with it being called a scientific "Law of Attraction" backed up by a total load of hocus pocus nonsense. The mystery here is why the book has been so popular (I was given …

Since The Secret first came out there have been dozens of books that follow the key points of manifesting as laid out by Rhonda Byrne. Some clarify. Some add a few new points. However, the basic foundation remains the same.     The overall premise of The Secret is that thoughts magnetize/attract/create matter. Therefore, if we spend all our time worrying that a certain event will come, that we don't have enough of something, or that we will never achieve a certain thing then …

For a long time I've been toying with the idea of creating a website and book called "Wealth Without Skills" that promised to give away the true secret of achieving wealth beyond your wildest dreams (not seriously, but more as a kind of joke that I thought actually might make a lot of money if I did it right because a lot of worse products have been lucrative) . I really DO know the secret, and so do the authors of this book. Unfortunately for my bank account, I couldn't bring myself to actually …

I have read a lot of motivational, or self help books over 20 years. It's hard to believe this one is a best seller. It's not worth one star.    The premise is that what you think about becomes reality. If you are sick of bills coming in the mail every week, imagine checks coming in the mail instead, and it will happen. Huh? We all have utility bills, credit card bills, and mortgage/rent bills to pay. You can't imagine them away.    "The Secret" also says …

Yes, I heard all the hype and was leery about making this purchase. But, I'm so glad I did. Packed in this tiny book is a wealth of insight and wisdom. It's easy to read, easy to understand, and easy to follow. Just take it one section at a time, and think about how you can change the various aspects of your own life.     Life isn't easy and their is no manual. Yet this book is a pretty good starting point for turning around what has been and shaping what will be. Do yourself …

The theme throughout the volume focuses on transitioning from the formulation of an idea or concept through actualization by utilizing  the power of positive thinking. Negativity only gets in the way of progress by blocking creativity and leading to depressive modes of behavior and ultimately bad outcomes. In addition, the book provides a considerable argument on how to break out of negativity through relaxation and imagination.     The author demonstrates how frequent …

"The law of attraction is a law of nature. It is impersonal and it does not see good things or bad things. It is receiving your thoughts and reflecting back to you those thoughts as your life experience. The law of attraction simply gives you whatever it is you are thinking about." - From the book    Last night, my husband and I watched the DVD version of The Secret and were incredibly moved and inspired. However, I've written a separate review about The Secret DVD here at Amazon.com …
