Beginner's guide to Taxes, an easy read, but no magic tricks here.

This is a good guide for people who are just beginning to do their taxes, for the newbies it serves as a good primer. This would have come in very handy when I finished school and started to do my taxes. I can also see it as a useful guide for people who come to the US to work and have just started to pay taxes here. Useful information with a jocular overlay

Let's get the fun approach of this book out of the way first. Deutch is not witty at all, and this book is not fun. There is a sports theme here, with a slight emphasis on boxing. There are chapter headings like "Feeling Intaxicated? Dude, You Are Paying Way Too Much in Taxes" and "First Steps: Mama, Don't Let Your Kids Grow Up to Be Sloppy Record Keepers."
