This is a good guide for people who are just beginning to do their taxes, for the newbies it serves as a good primer. This would have come in very handy when I finished school and started to do my taxes. I can also see it as a useful guide for people who come to the US to work and have just started to pay taxes here.     Having done my taxes for a few years, most of the information in this book was already known to me. Let's get the fun approach of this book out of the way first. Deutch is not witty at all, and this book is not fun. There is a sports theme here, with a slight emphasis on boxing. There are chapter headings like "Feeling Intaxicated? Dude, You Are Paying Way Too Much in Taxes" and "First Steps: Mama, Don't Let Your Kids Grow Up to Be Sloppy Record Keepers." There are sentences that might well have been intended as jokes, such as the description of Albert Einstein as "the man who had an IQ higher …
