I have been a lover of Stephen King for years, and with Tommyknockers he was able to take what began with a childish rhyme and end it with a horror that hit you deep in the gut. Terrifying and yet deeply personal, the book gets you into the ordinary lives of the main characters and then exposes the extraordinary horror that seems to always exists literally just below the surface.    This goes on my list of top 20 King books, and if you give it a fair chance, I think you will …
