Three Cups of Tea was fine, but it paled in comparison to a similar book about a different place, Mountains Beyond Mountains by Tracy Kidder. I heard raves about Three Cups of Tea but haven't myself read it. I did however read a nonfiction book on the same subject by Jeff Rasley called Bringing Progress to Paradise. It was about Rasley's efforts to bring better education and standard of living to the village people of Nepal.
