This book is great. It is not fast-paced and pure adventure and excitement by current day standards, but it is excellent in it's own way. This is a simple story being told through the eyes of the protaginist, Jim Hawkins. It is rich and lush with descriptions of the seas and of the bizzare and treacherous characters. From the simpleness of the book, I could place myself into the roll of this young boy and my imagination did the rest. It was an extremely exciting book; but, not because of the action …
