This is a much easier read than the Clarke biography on Capote, but just as fascinating. It's essentially a little background on Capote at certain stages of his life (in Plimpton's words), supplemented with anecdotes from the people in it.  No body pulls any punches, so it's a pretty juicy read and really gives us the best and the worst of the man.  It's also a lot of fun to figure out what Plimpton was saying about Capote between the lines.
