Have fun by talking

  • Jan 12, 2002
Tongue twisters are a form of play that is like no other. By putting together a series of phrases that require some lag time between them so that the speech mechanisms can recover, we can put ourselves in a situation where our mouths are incapable of making the appropriate sounds. This book is a collection of such phrases, and they are simply fun to (try to) say. Children also enjoy reading and trying to say the phrases. In that respect it also has some educational and developmental value. Difficult phrases are excellent practice for speech development as well as for speaking in acting roles and public forums.
This is a book meant to be read aloud, making it both fun and frustrating. Read it in the manner for which it was intended, enjoying it for what it is, a way to have fun by simply talking.
