Solid, Biblical Teaching to Help Avoid Spiritual Traps
Nov 1, 2009
When Godly People Do Ungodly Things is one of the more important and convicting books I've read in a long time. I should say re-read. When it came out nearly a decade ago I read it then and recommended it to others. But recently my book club decided on this one and I pulled it off the shelf, blew the dust from the cover and dove in.
Moore is a complex woman. Most of the book club members were surprised at her depth of understanding and scriptural foundation. Don't be deceived by her bubbly personality and overall cuteness, this woman knows her Bible and even more importantly she knows her God.
The title says it well. Incompletely, but well. I would recommend it to anyone who has fallen into sin unexpectedly and who is devastated by the season of their sin stupor. I would also recommend it to those who think they could never, would never fall for anything in the big sin department such as murder or adultery. Moore shares some compelling evidence that points to truth that most believers don't accept as valuable or important to the daily activities of living.
