Why I let my Hair Grow out was a cute fun read and nothing more. Morgan was funny and a good character. The fantasy aspect of the book could be confusing at times but the you got used to it. The Irish mythology added into the book was pretty original and was refreshing to many of the Greek myths that I've read. The book was funny at times and Morgan seemed like a normal teen (except for the fact that she is a princess).The change from "normal" world to the fairytale sometimes happened out of nowhere …

Morgan is a bit too extreme for her parents. When faced with a breakup with her first boyfriend, she cuts her hair extremely short, and dyes it orange. She doesn't talk to any of her old friends, and is moping around the house. So her parents, meaning well, but perhaps a little misguided, book her a week long biking trip to Ireland, where Morgan meets Colin, one of the guides. Colin's unusual attitude appeals instantly to Morgan, but it's kinda hard to make any progress in the relationship department …
