My wife had a high school reunion in the San Gabriel Valley this summer and we wanted to find a place to stay overnight rather than driving home early in the morning. We found the Hilton Garden Inn using CheapTickets.com. We were charged $92.27 including tax for a Saturday night stay.
The location of this hotel is very convenient. It is just off the 210 freeway and it is near a number of shopping areas with large and small restaurants. Parking was easy to find at check-in time, but we had to park in the rear when we arrived back after the reunion.
The rooms are well apportioned and very clean. I was quite pleased with the HD television, bed linens, and working desk. I believe the room is quite nice for the price.
There was also a breakfast buffet in the morning, but it is not included in the price of the room. Although it looked fairly appetizing, my wife and I decided to have breakfast at a nearby restaurant instead.
The Hilton Garden Inn in Arcadia is quite what you would expect from a chain hotel, nothing overly fancy but clean, well-run, and convenient. I felt we got our money's worth, but probably won't be making this a destination site in the future. If you have to stay in the Pasadena area, this is an economical and safe choice.
