1-800 Awesome: Tactics For Making $10,000 an Hour is a book that will motivate me to maximize my potential. I don't have an idea for a business yet, but this book ensures me that I can find a tipping point or idea to make more money. It would be great to create a blog or website and work from home though. Rugh's suggestion of working with people smarter than me is a point that I will take to heart.
Chris runs a successful web site creating personal 800 numbers for companies like Best Buy and 1-800 contacts. I am inspired by his story, especially after reading that he did not give up after his previous businesses failed.
The exercises in this book are helpful. I actually took out several sheets of paper to write down a list of my goals. Another fun exercise is simply listing ten things that make me happy and ten things that I am thankful for. These exercises promote postive thinking. Postive thinking is key when I am trying to make more money. The exercises in this book forces me to reflect on the direction my life is going.
Rugh suggests to put 1/3 of my income in investments. 1/3 of my income should be used to live. The last 1/3 should be used for fun. I have never done this before, but it is excellent financial advice to follow. There is a chapter on creating leverage that I found interesting. The idea of collaborating with other companies to create momentum for my future endeavor is something that fascinates me. 1-800 Awesome is not a book that will make me rich, but it does give me hope that I can lead a more productive life.

The publisher gave me this book to review. My review is on this site, as well as Amazon and Blogcritics. I agree. This is a great book for anyone with ideas of starting a business of any size or importance.
Love the title of the book and the actual content itself sounds great, too! I like that it doesn't sound like one of those get rich quick books and actually gives you exercises and steps to take. Thanks for sharing, Robert!
