While most of the attention is being placed on the wildfires near Austin, there are also fires in other parts of the state, specifically east Texas just north of the Houston area. While I don't personally know anyone from this area of the state, I do enjoy going to the Texas Renaissance Festival and the Lake Conroe area. So far, those two places have been spared, but my prayers go out to all of those people who lost their homes, property, or anything else.
